Hello there,
My name is Kate Hughes, MA, ALC, NCC
Have you ever wondered how different life could be with the right support? Mental health is a journey and at Quest Counseling, I understand that everyone's path is unique.

"I want to write a novel about silence; the things people don't say".
-Virginia Woolf
About Me
I graduated with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University in 2023. However, I have been working in fields that center on helping others for my entire adult life. In 2020, my interests and abilities led me to counseling and I chose to pursue higher education. I began my clinical work in 2022 in community mental health while interning at AltaPointe Health Systems in their Children's Outpatient clinic. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and couples.
I am trained in EMDR therapy and Level 1 Gottman Couples Therapy. I hold a holistic view that our minds, emotions, and bodies are all connected and must be considered as a whole unit rather than separately if we are to heal and grow. Overall, my approach to counseling is strengths-based and person-centered. I hold space for my clients to share what is on their hearts and work collaboratively with each person to help them achieve positive progress in their lives.
I believe it is an honor to sit with another human being and learn about their story. If this resonates with you, I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you may have.
